HTC announces HTC ChaCha in India

At the MWC 2011, Taiwan based smartphone maker HTC has announced

the launch of HTC ChaCha in India priced at Rs.15,990. HTC gurantees that the smartphone would definitely proves to be a good companion for the mid-range customers.

Faisal Siddiqui, Country Manager of HTC quoted that by featuring a dedicated Facebook button, they aims to make it simpler and convenient for the users to share and connect through their favourite social networking sites. Siddiqui further added that the smartphone is designed to offer a seamless, social experience for their customers. And they would strive to introduce many more such advanced smart phones in the coming months.

The smartphone sports a 2.6 inch touchscreen along with 4-row QWERTY keypad for instant messaging. The mobile is packed with 5 MP camera at the back with LED flash along with a VGA front facing camera which allows video calls. The device is devloped on the basis of Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and it has 512 MB built-in storage with 512 MB of RAM. The ChaCha is powered by an 800 MHz processor. One of the main advantage should be instant access to Facebook with a single click of a button below the keypad which enables easy access to the social networking site and sharing the contents.

In addition to all, HTC has mutually tied up with GSM brand of TTSL, Tata Docomo for the launch of the ChaCha with the network providing 3G data offers along with the handset. This mobile network will provide 3 hours of free Mobile TV which can be redeemed over a period of three months. With this offer, the postpaid users can use 1GB of free data every month for a period of three months while the prepaid users can use 3GB of free data which will be valid for a period of three months. The HTC ChaCha is looking so modern, trendy and pretty which will be apt for youths those who are so addicted to social networking.

Sony Ericsson to roll out Xperia Neo V and Pro in India

Sony Ericsson plans to launch its three handsets in India on 18th October. The handsets which are ready for launch includes Xperia Neo V, Xperia Pro and Sony Ericsson Txt. The Xperia Neo V will be available at a cost of Rs.17,500 while the Xperia Pro costs Rs 26,000. The Sony Ericsson Txt will be available at a cost of Rs. 5,000.

The first device named Xperia Neo V features a 3.7 inch multi touch reality display with Mobile BRAVIA engine. The BRAVIA engine is a technology which Sony already uses in its TVs. The new Xperia Neo V is an upgrade to the Xperia Neo and it is built with Gingerbread Android 2.3 operating and 1 GHz processor. The device sports a 5 MP camera with LED Flash and auto focus which can shot in 720p HD mode at 30 FPS even the light conditions are very low. The company informs that the mobile will offer 7 hours of talktime since it is designed with a 1500 mAH battery. The phone holds 32 MB of internal storage and the memory is expandable upto 32 GB via SD card. In addition, the mobile has 3G, WiFi, GPS, and Google’s services like Maps, Gmail, Gtalk, Android market etc.

Another device Xperia Pro comes with a slide out QWERTY keypad which boasts a 3.7 inches LED back-lit capacitive touchscreen LCD with 8 MP camera capable of recording 720p high definition videos. With this, it is incorporated with a 32 GB expandable memory slot and it is packed with a 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon system on chip or Soc. The Xperia Pro is also used as a USB host that allows users to connect PC, keyboard, or gaming consol. Some other features such as HDMI port, DLNA, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G are also available in the mobile.

Speaking about the third device Sony Ericsson Txt, it is a feature phone developed on the basis of Sony Ericsson’s proprietary OS. The great features includes 3.2 MP camera, WiFi support and 2.55 inch VGA”>QVGA screen (Non touch). Apart from the other, it also offers social networking and instant messenger services such as Facebook, Twitter and Gtalk apps.
